PawPrints ("we," "our," or "us") values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use the PawPrints mobile application (the "App").
## 1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us when you use the App, including:
- Pet profile details such as name, type, and emoji
- Journal entries, stories, moods, tags, and dates
- Photos you choose to attach to your memories
- Optional account or contact information, if you provide it
We also use device storage locally on your phone to save your journal data and preferences.
## 2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information collected to:
- Provide and improve the App’s core journal and memory features
- Store your pet memories, entries, and profile information
- Support features such as streaks, timeline views, and memory export
- Respond to your questions or requests
## 3. Local Storage and Data Retention
PawPrints stores data locally on your device using device storage. We do not currently require a server account or cloud backup system. If you delete memories or pet profiles from the App, those items are removed from the local app data.
## 4. Photos and Media
Photos you choose to add to your memories are stored locally within the App on your device. We do not upload your photos to our servers unless a future version of the App adds cloud-based syncing or backup features.
## 5. Sharing of Information
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
We may share information only if:
- Required by law, regulation, or legal process
- Necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of users or the public
## 6. Your Choices
You can manage or remove your data by:
- Deleting memories or pet profiles from the App
- Removing the App from your device
## 7. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information stored in the App. However, no method of electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
