Traditional Animation BFA
Pav Razvi is an animator born and raised in Sunny Southern California. He’s practiced and been passionate about animation since the age of 9, starting out his unprofessional debut in Photoshop CS3, then moving on to CSP/TVPaint & After Effects. Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite, TVPaint, and Clip Studio with experience collaborating on large-scale projects.
Currently studying Traditional Animation at Laguna College of Art & Design, with a strong foundation in visual effects, timing, and dynamic character animation. (While learning how to also describe himself in the third person and "be more subtle".)
Pav takes inspiration from childhood interests he’s stubbornly never let go of. If he's not drawing, he's going through other animator's works frame-by-frame to study how they create the illusion of life.
Proficient in: TVPaint, Adobe Creative Suite, Maya, RoughAnimator, Zbrush, 3DS Max, SAI, Clip Studio Paint, Toon Boom Storyboard Pro, and Sony Vegas.
Inspirations: Jamie Hewlett, Maurice Noble, James Baxter, Richard Williams, Lisa Hanawalt, Keith Haring, PUP (the band,) Jeff Rosenstock, Ken Sugimori, Robert Valley, and Chris Hendricks.
"I want to make animation grow up. It doesn't always have to be Mickey Mouse, speeded up movement, and slapstick humor. Animation ought to be able to carry serious concepts. It should be able to move slowly, and with dignity. And it can be beautiful, and lyrical. All these things are possible for animation, but we've only just begun to scratch the surface." - RICHARD WILLIAMS
