Hi
I am Pavan Tejaswi Velivela, a mechanical engineering PhD graduate from McGill University, specialising in bio-inspired structural architectures for multifunctional engineering devices.
My research focuses on the early-stage design of morphology-driven bio-inspired structures and devices for highly constrained engineering environments. I developed the MBID (Multifunctional Bio-Inspired Design) ideation system, a biological morphology-informed rule-based framework that supports the structured development of multifunctional device architectures.
Focus areas: Bio-inspired device architectures; Morphology-driven structures; Early-stage device design; Micro- to Mesoscale Systems
Explore the portfolio to learn more about the MBID framework and the conceptual devices developed using it.
