Pavan P D, PhD

I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Valparaiso, Chile. I am currently working under Prof Daniel Quiroz.

My area of expertise is Graph Theory. My research interests lie mainly in graph coloring and graph homomorphisms. I am interested in studying the oriented analogues of parameters that have been defined for undirected graphs. Most of my work involves structural graph theory.

I have also worked in Coding theory, mainly on variations of Levenshtein's sequence reconstruction problem.

Work Experience

I have worked as a Postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, University of Turku, between September 2024 and February 2026.

I have been working as a Postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Mathematics, University of Valparaiso, since September 2026.

I completed my Doctoral degree in Mathematics from the Indian Institute of Technology in Dharwad in July 2024.

I did my Masters' degree in Mathematics from Loyola College (affiliated with University of Madras) in Chennai between 2016-2018.

I did my Bachelors' degree specialising in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from Christ (deemed to be University) in Bangalore between 2013-2016.
