An on-site one-time setup continuous oxygen generation plant for large-scale hospitals.
The project aims to help deliver hospitals with on-site medical oxygen generators which require minimal service after installation. These devices once installed eliminate the requirement for oxygen cylinders and reduce the overall cost by eliminating the transportation charges.
During the same time I was working on the Oxygen Concentrator, I also contributed to this project as a Production Manager. With this role came multiple responsibilities like maintaining the supply chain, contacting the vendors and post-fabrication third-party companies, and the workforce, and occasionally I was also responsible for quality checking and assurance.
With over 18 contract workers including the machine specialists, assemblers, and welders, 4 engineers, and 4 miscellaneous staff working with me, I attained great leadership and managerial experience during this time. I conducted various project meetings with the board of directors, traveled to vendors, and maintained the timeline of the project to reach the tight deadlines of the clients.
From creating 2D drawings for the fabrication, and development of sheet metal for laser cutting to designing sheet metal supports for the pressure tanks, I also performed some of the Mechanical Designer tasks on the go.
While constantly guiding the workers, I also learned more about post-production processes like sandblasting, painting, pressure vessel testing, dye-penetration tests, and material treatment processes.
