During my doctoral training at the University of Illinois, I have taught recitation sections or my own courses every year. I have three times been a Teaching Assistant for Introduction to International Relations, for which I received recognition as a "Teacher Ranked as Excellent by Their Students". I have extensive experience with online teaching as well, both managing asynchronous assignments, and delivering synchronous lectures across multiple subject areas in International Security and Public Policy.
I have twice served as an independent instructor for my own courses. In the Fall of 2025, I designed and taught my own course in Comparative Political Economy, which introduced students to canonical theories in the discipline, and then invited them to apply theories to specific cases in real-world Political Economy. I have also designed a course (to be taught in Fall of 2026) which explores the Global Politics of Reparations, asking students to consider when and how foreign aid can serve as redress for historical transgressions.
