Academic Pathway
I initiated my academic journey at the University of Minho, where I completed a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering and a Master's degree in Medical Informatics, in 2022.
Subsequently, in 2023, I engaged in academic research, contributing as a Research Fellow in the technical advancement of two significant projects: CVTwNN and Magallean. This role involved extensive research and development, enriching my expertise in the field.
In February 2024, I embarked on a PhD program in Biomedical Engineering, funded by FCT (Fundação para a Ciencia e Tecnologia), focusing on the topic: "Brain Modelling through Radiomic Features for Dementia Progression - an AI-based Approach."
Main Research Interests
Health Informatics & Medical Imaging: Merging technology with healthcare to enhance diagnostic imaging techniques like MRI and advance health informatics.
Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning: Exploring cutting-edge AI and machine learning technologies to tackle complex challenges and innovate.
Image Processing & Engineering: Innovating in image processing and applying engineering principles to develop advanced visual technology solutions.
Data Science & Analytics: Utilizing data to uncover insights, applying statistical analysis and predictive modeling for informed decision-making.
Web Development: Building responsive, intuitive web applications that improve user engagement and experience.
Python Programming: Applying Python across various domains, including data analysis, web development, and machine learning.
