By selecting and integrating the most effective modalities at multiple checkpoints in a learning journey, we maximize learner engagement and boost retention.

• eLearning serves as the starting point, the benchmark for the best practices and behaviors to explore

• Virtual Instructor-Led training (VILT) serves as either a checkpoint in a larger curriculum for learners to practice their skills or a capstone workshop for fully decentralized organizations. 

• Instructor-Led workshops become a learning lab where previous lessons are applied in earnest, and expectations for on-the-job performance are set.

• Job aids and online references sustain development once training is complete.

For non-profit organizations, money is only part of what fuels their mission. They also need people with specific skills who can complete the administrative tasks that help keep the lights on.

Training is one of those needs.

ATD-Orange County's initiative to empower its members through community partnerships was conceived not only as a chance for our members to join together in support of the Orange County community, but also as a means to coach our IDs to create eLearning that surpasses typical page-turners and check-box Rise modules through practicable application of ADDIE.

• Application of AI to support divergent/convergent brainstorming sessions

• Usage of Adobe Character Animator to create videos addressing common human skills training
