Apple sauce, mashed bananas, persimmon puree or any other pureed food can be substituted for the pumpkin puree.
Supplies Needed:
Electric pancake griddle or frying pan, measuring cups and spoons, bowls, plates, forks, spoons, pancake turner, pancake mix, mashed pumpkin, brown sugar, water. If you do not have pumpkin mash, then you can use apple sauce, mashed banana persimmon puree or any other pureed fruit.
Steps:
Gather your supplies.
Wash and dry their hands. Remember to keep hands clean as you prepare food (i.e. don’t play with hair or face, pick up stuff on ground, etc.).
In recipes where measuring is important, you will need to correctly measure using measuring cups and measuring spoons. See video if you need an explanation on how to measure food accurately. Here
Measure each ingredient on at a time and place in bowl. Sometimes it is easiest if an adult/parent pours the water into the bowl. 1 Tbsp rounded mashed pumpkin, 1 tsp. brown sugar, 3 Tbsp. Water, 1/4 c. buttermilk pancake mix

Mix all the ingredients together. Lumps are okay, don't over mix. Now you are ready to begin cooking the pancakes.
Grease the pan if needed with cooking spray before you start. Cook on a greased or nonstick pan on medium (375-400).
On a warm pan, pour the batter into 2 pancakes.
Flip the edges appear slightly dry and cooked. These pancakes may be more fragile and take more time to cook than a regular pancake. Thicker pancakes will take longer to cook.
Sprinkle them with cinnamon sugar, spread butter, use syrup, use honey or eat plain.
Clean up cooking and mixing equipment.
