Supplies: items to put on wreath (leaves, acorns, branches,..., cutouts ), glue, tape and paper plate, paper bag, wrapping paper.
Optional Supplies: Hot glue gun, ribbon
Steps:
Gather all your supplies.
Steps to make the wreath base. You can use a paper plate or a paper bag. (See video)
If using a paper plate, cut out the center of the plate leaving the outside rim 1"-3" in width.
If using a paper bag, cut the bottom of the bag off. then cut down one side so that you have one long piece of paper. Roll the paper along the narrow side. Twist paper and then form in a circle and tape.
Gather up all collected items from last week's walk or handmade paper items using templates, hand or your imagination and glue.
If you could not go on a walk or could not find anything then you can do any or all of these options:
Use the leaf, acorn or apple template (at the bottom of this page) to make your own leaves and acorns. Trace and cut out on colored paper or on white paper and color them yourselves.
Trace your hand or cookie cutter or your choice on colored paper or white paper and color them yourselves.(see video on how to make paper decorations to put on the wreath).
Attach your items to the wreath with glue. Use your imagination on where to place all the items.
Let dry. If using white glue, let dry for at least 3 hours.
Hang up and enjoy for Fall.
