Optional Supplies: dirt, water, seeds (flower seeds from garden supply bag)
Optional: bucket, shovel
Steps:
Determine where you will doing this activity, it is messy but fun!
You can use a bucket or just mix the mud on the ground.
Collect some dirt, at least 1 cup.
Wet the dirt unless it is already wet. It should be the consistency of playdoh.
Roll the dirt into a ball . About the size of a golf ball.
Press some seeds into the dirt
Place your seed balls on a tray or cardboard and leave them to dry.
Once they have hardened (in a few days), drop them in your garden beds, yard or gift them to a friend.
Try to choose a sunny place to put your seed balls.
In a couple of months they will be surprised by wonderful pops of colour around the school or their yard.
