INFORMATION WE COLLECT
The Bhagavad Gita app stores the following data locally
on your device:
- Your current reading position
- Verses you have marked as learned
This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted
to any server.
HOW THE APP WORKS
When you open a verse, the app contacts our secure backend
server to retrieve verse content. The backend server calls
the Anthropic AI API to generate insights. No personally
identifiable information is sent in these requests — only
the chapter and verse number.
THIRD PARTY SERVICES
This app uses the following third party services:
- Anthropic Claude API — for AI-generated verse insights
- Bhagavad Gita API — for verified Sanskrit and English text
- Railway — for secure backend hosting
DATA RETENTION
Verse content is cached on our backend server to improve
performance. This cache contains only verse text and
AI-generated insights — no user data whatsoever.
CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
This app does not knowingly collect any data from children
under 13.
