This trip was in support of a project to delimit species in the ambrosia beetle genus Euwallacea. With collaborator Dr. Anthony Cognato (Michigan State), I visited Bach Ma National Park. Chemical traps were set at varied elevations and other active and passive collecting methods were used. Many ambrosia and longhorned beetle species were collected which are now part of the Michigan State University collection.
In Gorongosa National Park, I surveyed beetles as part of the effort to document all taxa in the park. Specimens were prepared and databased into the park's collection. A faunistic paper on the Cerambycidae of central Mozambique is underway.
