The Archaeological Research Training in Faunal Analysis and Cultural Technologies (ARTIFACT) program is an intensive, hands-on bootcamp designed to train the next generation of archaeologists. Over seven to eight weeks, students gain practical experience in zooarchaeology, taphonomy, and database management, working directly with real archaeological collections. ARTIFACT combines rigorous lab training with collaborative mentorship, equipping participants with the skills needed for conducting their own research and pursuing careers in archaeology.
