Abstract: Quasi-slits in the upper half plane H are the image of imaginary axis under quasiconformal homeomorphisms of H. Such slits can also be described using Loewner differential equations with 1/2-H\"older driving functions. We will investigate into the relation of various properties of quasislits and properties of the its driving function. In particular we obtain quantitative bounds for the extremal cone containing such quasi-slits and derive several of its implications. This is based on joint work with Fredrik Viklund and Lukas Schoug.
