This instructional unit (IU) was designed to offer clear, impartial guidance to you, as the parent or caretaker of child with hearing loss or impairment, to enable you to effectively use community and online resources to make informed, evidence-supported and knowledge-based communication therapy decisions for your child. The instructional unit is broken into 6 modules, a summary, a resources page, and a reference page. Each module will address different deaf communication therapy information and options, and contains beneficial videos, reading materials and activities for you to watch, read, review, do, and reflect upon.

To navigate the through the website and instructional unit, you can use the navigation menu to the left of the screen, by selecting the item from the Table of Contents, or by clicking on the navigation buttons at the bottom of each page.  The IU is best viewed on a laptop or desktop computer using computer audio or earbuds. Closed captioning is available.
