Venue & Accommodation

Venue

The symposium is hosted by Aquatic Ecology department of the Eawag (Swiss Federal Institute of Aquatic Science and Technology). The address is Überlandstrasse 133, 8600 Dübendorf.

Accommodation

There are two hotels prebooked for the symposium. They are both within 7 minutes walking distance of Eawag. The hotels are covered for non-CH participants. The distribution of the participants to the hotels will take place in email.

Transportation

The way of how to get to Eawag differs with the mean of transport. Each international participant has travel allowance of 260 CHF.

Train / Bus

From Zurich Main Station (HB) by S-train (S3, S9, S12) to Stettbach. Form there about 20 minutes walk to Eawag (see map), or by tram No. 12 to "Am Ring" or by bus No. 760 to "Empa". The Bus Main Station is right at the Zurich Main Station.

Airplane

From Zurich-Airport by tram No. 12 to "Neugut" or "Am Ring" (about 20 minutes driving time).

Car

Motorway A1, exit Dübendorf, to the right towards Dübendorf, 300 meters after the major crossing turn left into the Eawag-Empa

Food & Catering

Breakfasts are served at the hotels and are covered. Lunches are served at one of two mensas at the campus. Coffee breaks are planned during the symposium. Several dinner options and shops around hotels and at Stettbach station.
