FAQ
What is Pathfinder?
Pathfinder is an exciting tabletop role-playing game where you and your friends create heroes and embark on epic adventures in a rich, immersive fantasy world. Developed by Paizo Inc., Pathfinder offers endless possibilities for storytelling and character development. Whether you're battling fierce monsters, exploring ancient ruins, or unraveling dark mysteries, every game session is a new adventure!
How do I start playing Pathfinder?
Starting your journey in Pathfinder is easier than you might think! Begin by picking up the Pathfinder Core Rulebook, which contains all the rules you need to create characters and play the game. You can also join a local or online Pathfinder Society game, where experienced players and Game Masters will help you learn the ropes. We're here to support you every step of the way!
What is the difference between Pathfinder and Dungeons & Dragons?
Pathfinder and Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) are both fantastic tabletop role-playing games with a lot in common, but they do have some differences. Pathfinder is known for its detailed character customization options and a robust rule system that allows for deep strategic gameplay. While D&D offers a more streamlined experience, Pathfinder gives players more flexibility to create unique characters and stories. Both games offer incredible adventures, so it really comes down to personal preference!
Is it difficult to learn Pathfinder if I've only ever played D&D?
Not at all! While Pathfinder has its own unique rules and mechanics, many of the core concepts are similar to those in Dungeons & Dragons. If you’re familiar with D&D, you’ll find that transitioning to Pathfinder is quite manageable. Pathfinder offers a wealth of resources and a supportive community to help new players get up to speed. Plus, our local Pathfinder Society group is always here to guide you through your first adventures and answer any questions you may have. You'll be exploring dungeons and slaying dragons in no time!
What is the Pathfinder Society?
The Pathfinder Society is a global community of Pathfinder players and Game Masters who come together to enjoy shared adventures. Organized into local chapters, the Society offers structured play with official scenarios that you can participate in at conventions, game stores, or online. Joining the Pathfinder Society is a great way to meet fellow adventurers and experience a wide range of exciting quests.

How do Pathfinder Society adventures work?
