Past Present AR is an augmented reality application that places period photographs in the modern reality.

To power the augmented reality sessions, Google processes visual data from your camera.
Data is processed ephemerally, the application accesses and uses your data but retains it for no longer than necessary to service the specific request in real-time.
Location: For precise placement of the period photos, Past Present AR - VLC uses ARCore Geospatial API.
All user data collected by ARCore on devices that originally shipped with the Google Play Store is encrypted in transit using HTTPS.

Camera: To veiw the placement of the period photos, Past Present AR - VLC requires the use of the rear-facing camera. The rear-facing camera is also used for the user to take their own photographs of their experience.
