Thank you for choosing PasteKey. This Privacy Policy is meant to help you understand what information we collect, why we collect it, and how you can manage it. Your privacy and the security of your data are our top priorities.

1. Information We Collect

PasteKey is designed to be a private and secure utility.

Information You Provide Directly:

• Clips and Spaces: We collect and store the text snippets ("Clips") and categories ("Spaces") that you create. This data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

Information We DO NOT Collect:

• Keystrokes: The PasteKey keyboard DOES NOT record, log, or transmit anything you type that is not explicitly saved as a Clip. We do not monitor your passwords, credit card numbers, or private conversations.

• Tracking Data: We do not collect user behaviour for advertising or sell user data to third parties.

2. Google Drive Data (Sensitive Scope Disclosure)

PasteKey offers an optional feature to back up your data to your personal Google Drive. To provide this feature, the app requests the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file scope.

How We Access Your Data:

• Per-File Access Only: We only access files that PasteKey itself has created. We cannot see, read, or modify your other personal files, photos, or documents in your Google Drive.

• No Human Access: No human (including our developers) can read your Google Drive data. The process is entirely automated by the app code on your device.

How We Use Your Data:

• The permission is used strictly to upload a backup of your local database to a specific folder and download it when you request a restore.

• We do not analyze, scan, or scrape your content for any purpose other than the stated backup utility.

3. Data Storage and Security

All your Clips and Spaces are stored in a secure, local database on your device.

• Local Storage: Your data never leaves your phone unless you initiate a backup.

• Cloud Storage: If you use the Backup feature, your data is transferred directly from your device to Google's servers using secure, encrypted connections (HTTPS). We do not store a copy of your data on any intermediate servers.

4. Limited Use Disclosure (Google API Services)

PasteKey's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Specifically:

• No Transfer: We do not transfer your Google user data to third parties.

• No Advertising: We do not use your Google user data for serving advertisements, including re-targeting, personalised, or interest-based advertising.

• No Lending: We do not use your data for creditworthiness or lending purposes.

5. Children's Privacy

PasteKey is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
