PassTheory Prep UK (“the App”, “we”, “our”, “us”) provides practice materials for the UK driving theory test, including multiple‑choice questions, road signs, Highway Code content, mock exams, and hazard perception clips. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled on Apple App Store (iOS) and Google Play (Android). Most learning data remains stored only on your device.

By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Data Controller

The publisher of PassTheory Prep UK is the data controller for any personal information you choose to share with us (for example, if you email support). Your day‑to‑day learning progress, preferences, and app state remain stored locally on your device unless otherwise stated.

3. Data Stored Only on Your Device

The following information is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers:

• Quiz results and scores

• Study streaks and goals

• Reminder settings

• Language preferences

• App configuration and progress data

This information is removed when you uninstall the App or clear its data.

4. Platform‑Specific Details

iOS (Apple App Store)

• The iOS version is completely free: no ads and no in‑app purchases.

• Advertising SDKs are not initialised.

• No App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompts are used.

• No analytics or crash‑reporting SDKs (e.g., Firebase) are initialised.

• No account or login is required.

• Optional study reminders use local notifications only.

• Internet access may be used for optional update checks or opening support/GOV.UK links you choose to open.

Android (Google Play)

• The Android version may display ads through Google AdMob, unless you purchase the optional premium/remove‑ads product via Google Play Billing.

• AdMob may process technical and advertising‑related data such as:

  • Advertising ID (where permitted)

  • IP address

  • Approximate region

  • Ad interaction metrics

• We do not collect or store your payment card details; purchases are handled entirely by Google Play.

• Optional rewarded ads are user‑initiated.

PassTheory Prep UK is an independent practice tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA).

We may update this Privacy Policy when features or legal requirements change. The “Last Updated” date will be revised accordingly. Please ensure this text is copied to the hosted Google Sites page so App Store and Google Play listings remain accurate.
