This policy describes what information Pass The Dutchie ("the game", made by Tired Wizard Productions LLC) handles and why.
WHAT THE GAME HANDLES
Your player name: the name you type in the game (or the one it suggests). Other players in your room see it.
An install id: a random number the game makes the first time it runs. It is not linked to your Meta account. Our server uses it to recognise your game when you reconnect and to tell reports about the same player apart.
What you do in a room: your avatar's head and hand poses, the objects you hold and the game actions you take are passed through our relay server to the other players in your room. They are not stored, except for the saved content below.
Voice: when your microphone is on, your voice is passed through our relay server to the players in the same part of your room in real time. It is never recorded or stored. You can turn your microphone off, and mute or block anyone, at any time.
Network address: our relay server sees your IP address so it can send you the game's traffic. It is not stored.
SAVED CONTENT
Drawings on the bunker chalkboard and each room's bunker door code (stored scrambled, never as the code itself) are kept on our server so a room looks the same next time. A private server's saved content is deleted after 60 days without use.
REPORTS
When you report a player, we keep the report (the reason, both player names, both install ids, the room name and the time) for up to 12 months to deal with abuse. No voice or video is kept. Reports may also go through Meta's reporting service, under Meta's own privacy policy.
MOVIES
The movie projector streams public-domain and openly licensed films from our server. Our server sees your IP address while it streams; nothing else is kept.
YOUR META ACCOUNT
When the game starts it asks Meta only whether your account owns the game. We receive no personal information from Meta.
WHAT WE DON'T DO
We don't sell your information or use it for advertising. We don't collect your contacts, location or anything else from your headset. We don't record voice chat.
WHERE
Our server is hosted by Oracle Cloud Infrastructure in the USA.
CHILDREN
Pass The Dutchie is rated for mature players and is not directed at children under 13.
