Pass My G1 ("we", "us", or "our") is a mobile application that helps users prepare for the Ontario G1 driving knowledge test. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our app.
We do not require you to create an account or provide any personal information to use this app. However, the following data may be collected automatically:
Usage data: Which tests you take, scores, and app interactions (collected via Firebase Analytics)
Device data: Device type, operating system version, and app version
Advertising data: Ad interactions and impressions (collected by Google AdMob and Facebook Audience Network)
Purchase data: In-app purchase transactions are processed by Google Play or Apple App Store — we do not store your payment information
To track your test progress locally on your device
To display relevant advertisements
To improve app performance and fix bugs
To understand how users interact with the app (via Firebase Analytics)
Your test progress (completed tests, unlocked tests, premium status) is stored locally on your device using Shared Preferences. This data is not transmitted to our servers. Question content is stored in Google Firebase Firestore (read-only for the app).
This app uses the following third-party services that may collect data according to their own privacy policies:

Facebook Audience Network – Advertising: facebook.com/about/privacy
Google Play / Apple App Store – In-app purchases
We show advertisements through Google AdMob (with Facebook Audience Network as a mediation partner). These ads may be personalized based on your interests. You can opt out of personalized advertising in your device settings:
Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization
iOS: Settings → Privacy → Apple Advertising → Limit Ad Tracking
This app is intended for users aged 16 and older (the minimum age to obtain a G1 licence in Ontario). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Local data (test progress, settings) is stored on your device until you uninstall the app. Analytics data is retained by Google Firebase according to their standard retention policies.
You can clear all locally stored app data at any time by uninstalling the app or clearing the app's data in your device settings. For data held by third-party services, please refer to their respective privacy policies.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
