Privacy Policy for PassageCraft

PassageCraft is an educational mobile application designed to help users improve their academic English reading, vocabulary, and comprehension skills.
This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use PassageCraft.
Information We Collect
PassageCraft does not require users to create an account.
PassageCraft does not directly collect personal information such as:
- Name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Precise location
- Contacts
- Photos
- Payment card information
- Advertising identifiers
PassageCraft does not operate its own external server for collecting or storing users' personal information.
Local Data Storage
PassageCraft stores certain learning-related information locally on the user's device in order to provide its educational and progress-tracking features.
This may include:
- Saved words
- Favorite articles
- Reading progress
- Quiz and test results
- Study statistics
- Mini Challenge progress
- Flashcard progress
- Daily study activity
- Achievement progress
- App preferences such as dark mode and font size
This information is primarily stored locally on the user's device and is not sent to PassageCraft-operated servers.
Subscriptions and In-App Purchases
PassageCraft offers optional auto-renewable Premium subscriptions through Apple's App Store.
All subscription purchases, payments, billing, renewals, cancellations, refunds, and payment processing are handled by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit.
PassageCraft does not collect, receive, or store users' credit card numbers, bank account information, or other payment credentials.
Apple may provide the app with limited information necessary to determine subscription and purchase status, such as whether a Premium subscription is currently active.
This information is used only to provide access to the appropriate features and content within PassageCraft.
PassageCraft does not send subscription transaction information to developer-operated external servers.
Legacy Premium Access
Certain existing PassageCraft users may receive complimentary Premium access for a limited period following the introduction of the Premium subscription model.
To preserve this access status, PassageCraft may store a limited entitlement-related identifier and access start date using Apple's secure Keychain services
When supported and enabled on the user's device, Keychain information may be synchronized between the user's Apple devices through Apple's iCloud Keychain service.
This information is used only to determine eligibility for complimentary Premium access and is not used for advertising, tracking, or profiling.
Text-to-Speech
PassageCraft includes text-to-speech functionality that allows users to listen to articles, sentences, and vocabulary items.
This functionality uses Apple's system text-to-speech services available on the device.
PassageCraft does not send the user's learning activity to developer-operated servers for the purpose of providing text-to-speech functionality.
Third-Party Services
PassageCraft does not currently use:
- Third-party advertising networks
- Third-party analytics services
- Third-party behavioral tracking tools
- Third-party marketing SDKs
PassageCraft uses Apple-provided services where necessary for the operation of the app, including the App Store, StoreKit, and system services provided by iOS.
Apple's handling of information through its services is governed by Apple's own privacy policies and terms.
Data Sharing
PassageCraft does not sell, rent, or share users' personal information with advertisers or data brokers.
PassageCraft does not use user information for cross-app or cross-website tracking.
Data Retention and Deletion
Learning-related information stored locally by PassageCraft generally remains on the user's device unless it is removed through the app, deleted as part of app data removal, or otherwise removed by the operating system.
Some secure entitlement-related information stored through Apple's Keychain services may persist after the app is removed and may synchronize through iCloud Keychain where applicable.
PassageCraft does not maintain a developer-controlled online user database from which personal data needs to be separately deleted.
Children's Privacy
PassageCraft is designed for educational purposes and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Because PassageCraft does not require account creation and does not operate a system for collecting users' personal information, it does not intentionally request personal information from children.
Security
PassageCraft is designed to minimize the collection and transmission of user information.
Learning data is primarily stored locally on the device, and sensitive entitlement-related information may use Apple's secure Keychain services.
However, no electronic storage or software environment can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
PassageCraft may update this Privacy Policy if the app's features, data practices, or services change.
For example, this policy may be updated if PassageCraft introduces analytics, cloud-based services, account functionality, advertising, or additional third-party services in the future.
When this Privacy Policy is updated, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will also be revised.
