First and foremost, we are absolutely thrilled and bursting with pride to announce that our very own incredible physiotherapist, Lawrence Shaw, has been nominated by the Fiji Hockey Federation for Volunteer of the Year at the 2024 Fiji Sports Awards! This prestigious nomination is a testament to Lawrence's unwavering dedication, selfless commitment, and genuine passion for supporting athletes in our community. His hard work and positive impact are truly inspiring, and we couldn't be prouder to have him as part of the Pasefika Physiotherapy family. Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition, Lawrence!

But the celebrations don't stop there! Today is also a very special day for another reason – it's Lawrence's birthday! His infectious enthusiasm, unwavering dedication, and positive energy brighten our clinic every single day. He brings a smile to the faces of both our team and our patients, and we are so fortunate to have his vibrant presence here. Please join us in wishing Lawrence a very happy birthday filled with joy, laughter, and all the best!

And finally, adding the cherry on top of this already fantastic day, Pasefika Physiotherapy is also celebrating its 9th Anniversary today! Nine years of serving our wonderful community, helping individuals on their journey to recovery and well-being. This milestone wouldn't have been possible without the incredible support and trust you, our patients, have placed in us over the years. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being a part of the Pasefika Physiotherapy family! We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to care for you and look forward to many more years of serving our community.

Today is a day for celebration, gratitude, and immense pride here at Pasefika Physiotherapy. Thank you for being a part of our journey!

Our dedicated team of physiotherapists recently had the honor of attending the Manual Therapy Symposium and the Fiji Physiotherapy Association 38th Annual General Meeting. This event was a fantastic opportunity for our team to connect with colleagues, share knowledge, and learn about the latest advancements in our field.

We are especially proud to announce that our very own Director, Apao Erasito, played a key role as a primary presenter and symposium lead at the AGM. Apao's expertise and passion for manual therapy were on full display as he shared valuable insights and best practices with attendees.   Our talented physiotherapists, Lawrence and Letitia, also had the privilege of participating in and facilitating practical sessions at the Manual Therapy Symposium.  Our physiotherapists involvement not only reflects their commitment to continuous learning and professional development but also underscores our clinic's unwavering dedication to staying at the forefront of best practices in physiotherapy.

Joining Apao were two esteemed guest speakers, Isaiah Elder, an Independent Practitioner at Suva Physio Centre, and Debbie Williams, an assistant lecturer from CMNHS, FNU. Their contributions added great value to the event, enriching the discussions and providing valuable perspectives on the latest trends and practical applications in physiotherapy.

The weekend was filled with engaging discussions, networking opportunities, and a shared commitment to advancing the field of physiotherapy in Fiji. We are grateful to the Fiji Physiotherapy Association for organizing such a meaningful event and providing us with the platform to come together as a community of healthcare professionals.

As the AGM concluded, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the exiting Executive Committee Members (Apao Erasito - VP; Lawrence Shaw - Executive Committee Member) of the Fiji Physiotherapy Association for their outstanding leadership and dedication to advancing the field of physiotherapy in Fiji. Their hard work and commitment have undoubtedly made a lasting impact on our profession, and we are thankful for their tireless efforts.   We would like to extend our warmest congratulations to the incoming Executive Committee Members of the Fiji Physiotherapy Association. We wish them all the best as they take on their new roles and continue to drive progress and innovation within our profession.  Furthermore, we would like to congratulate and wish all the best to Jeryka, another esteemed member of our team, who is serving her second year of a two-year tenure as Treasurer of the Fiji Physiotherapy Association. Jeryka's dedication and leadership exemplify the high standards of excellence that we uphold at our clinic, and we are confident that she will continue to excel in her role and make valuable contributions to the association.
