About me

I currently work as a scientific employee at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW), where I focus on machine learning for industrial applications. Before that, I had the great pleasure of working as a researcher in mathematics at some of the world's leading universities. I was a postdoctoral researcher at the Technical University of Munich and the University of Oxford, and I completed my PhD at the University of Bern. During this time, I had the privilege of working with some truly outstanding scientists.

In August, I will begin a new chapter as a mathematics teacher at the Kantonsschule Zürcher Unterland. I am very excited to share my passion for mathematics and to inspire and motivate young people to engage with this fascinating subject.

Research interest

My main research interest lies in the numerical analysis of nonlinear partial differential equations. In particular, I am fascinated by the adaptive interplay between iterative linearisation schemes and finite element methods. The application focus is on equations arising in the modeling of non-Newtonian fluids.

I am also curious about the intersection of numerical analysis and deep learning, especially in the context of partial differential equations.
