This project plans to beautify a hillside parcel in San Francisco's Vistacion Valley, running from Pasadena street to Velasco Avenue.
Goals
Goals
1.Create a gathering space for the community.
2.Create habitat for birds and butterflies with native plants.
3.Increase connections in the neighborhood with paths, platforms, and possibly a stairway.
4. Provide views of the valley with elevated platforms and seating areas.
The Site
The Site
A steep hillside on the small hill just North of the border with Daly City, across the street from the Cow Palace. Views from the top of the hillside at Pasadena street include Mclaren park, much of Visitacion Valley, and Bayview hill (not in this photo). The Hillside is much steeper towards the top and there is an 8 foot high retaining wall that makes access difficult from Pasadena street.
