Sorry to ask, I'm a student very new to using android studio. I am creating a game using Gage and there is some functionality I need that I can only seem to get by installing 3rd party programs (The one I need right now is called Awaitility, but there are others).

Since smartphone camera quality highly depends on HDR processing nowadays, it has become a necessity for Android third-party apps to use the newer CameraX. The question is: When will the long overdue CameraX be ready for larger apps to use? Thanks both they are clever workarounds. However all need to rely on a third party. It is not same as Obsidian accessing directly to OneDrive from Android or any other cloud solutions. Android File System app can access so I am sure when you click OPEN VAULT, Obsidian should be able to do that.

As you may know, Dropbox doesn't sync files on Android any more as of last year or so (see this, for example). They used to be in sdcard>Android>data>com.dropbox.android>files, but the new "available offline" option stores them in the cache of the Db app, which other apps cannot access (you wouldn't be able to locate them with Files, for example), to ensure their safety, I would guess. The only way to use these files on your device apart from through the Db app is to "export" them after they were made "available offline" (so basically to properly download them locally), and it is thus impossible to do what Dropbox is meant to do in the first place : read and write synced files. I personally would like to edit note files on my computer and my phone and to get them synced by Db, but there seems to be no way to reach and edit locally stored (note) files with my note-taking app.

Well certainly, I still have the questions regarding the use of these third party apps or other workarounds, which is the very reason for me creating this thread. I of course don't expect you as a Db support team member to take a stance on that regard, though, these indeed are questions to the community.

Android apps pervasively use third-party libraries (TPL) to reuse functionalities and improve development efficiency. The insufficient knowledge of the TPL internal exposes the developers and users to severe threats of security vulnerabilities. To mitigate such threats, people have proposed diversified approaches to identifying vulnerable or even malicious TPLs. However, the rich features of different modern obfuscators, including advanced repackaging, dead code removal, and control-flow randomization, have significantly impeded the precise detection of the TPLs. In this work, we propose a general-purpose TPL detection approach, LibScan. We first fingerprint code features to build the potential class correspondence relations between the app and TPL classes. Then, we use the method-opcode similarity and call-chain-opcode similarity to improve the accuracy of detected class correspondences. Moreover, we design early-stop criteria and reuse intermediate results to improve the efficiency of LibScan. In experiments, the evaluation with ground truths demonstrated the effectiveness of LibScan and its detection steps. We also applied LibScan to detect vulnerable TPLs in the top Google Play apps and large-scale wild apps, which shows the efficiency and scalability of our approach, as well as the potential of our approach as an auxiliary tool that helps malware detection.

I installed playfab-party.1.5.0.1-main.0-10.5.2020-preview.unitypackage from official Github site. I have installed other extensions and logged in into title over Playfab Extensions in Unity. I tested it locally, remote and over steam, and SDK works just fine. Problem is android, when I build the game and run it after going over splash screen it just shuts down. There are no any useful information in log (since game goes on pause), I just know Playfab Multiplayer Manager is responsible for this. _Initialize() function in script executes normaly but then somewhere later error happens. Im using unity 2019.4.12f1 and sdk version is "2.97.201014". Thanks in advance for help!

Anyway, have any of you who have had the camera a while found any 3rd party apps which will reliably connect to the ZV-1 and allow me to transfer my snaps & vids off it via WiFi? (or even via Bluetooth?)

In my current custom android app, I did onServicesDiscovered() to look at all the services and characteristics the device have, I could print all my other services UUID or characteristics UUID I couldn't find any Nordic proprietary UUID that I expected to show up (see below). However I can locate them using nRF Connect or even BLE Scanner (most popular scanner app on Play Store). Would you guys know why this happened?

3. If I am about to create a 3rd party app for DFU protocol, do you guys have any examples in Android apps on how to do it? I really like how the app is handling the nRF Connect DFU process especially in the iOS app, I wish to replicate similar thing. (probably just a button that says "Update Firmware" if newer firmware version is available)

The reason why I first walked away from third-party Android launchers was simply that the Pixel Launcher (even in its infancy) was such a clean and easy experience. Although I enjoyed the incredible customization Nova Launcher Prime offered, there was something to be said about a launcher that had me returning to my minimalistic design preference, while still retaining a high level of functionality.
