RusseLL Lobsenz, Ph.D.
For more than 20 years, Russell has been a trusted advisor to CEOs, senior leaders, and founders, and has helped global organizations solve a wide range of HR challenges. Russell brings significant corporate experience to his consulting work, especially from his prior leadership roles in Fortune 1000 (Verizon, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Orbitz Worldwide, Cotiviti), early-stage (Socure, Lattice, AppNexus, Performaworks), and government organizations (FBI, DHS). Russell has worked with senior leaders on their toughest people issues, including how to assess, align, and develop talent in their top teams, how to select and develop the next generation of leaders, and how to leverage talent strategically to position companies for profitability and long-term success.
Stemming from his training as an Industrial/Organizational Psychologist, Russell has a passion for all things people and an appreciation for how culture and talent initiatives affect the employee experience and the bottom line. In start-ups and for companies undergoing massive transformation, he has an impressive track record of leading change in fast-paced, fluid work environments.
Russell holds a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the Illinois Institute of Technology, an MA in Organizational Psychology from New York University, and BA in Psychology from the University of Vermont. He is the author of a book on behavioral interviewing, co-author on numerous book chapters and articles in scientific and professional journals, and a regular presenter at leadership and talent management conferences. Russell was also an adjunct faculty member in New York University’s Graduate Department of Psychology.
