Connecting community resources with schools in Douglas County to ensure the academic success of students and prepare them for college and career.

What is PIE?

Building bridges between community and schools.

Partners in Education (PIE) began in 1996 as a partnership between the Douglas County School System and the Douglas County Chamber of Commerce.

The PIE program is designed to provide a hands-on opportunity for local businesses and organizations to share their expertise, time, resources, and ideas to enrich the academic experience for students in the community.

All PIE relationships are individually designed to have a positive impact on student achievement and to promote college and career readiness.

Any business or organization in the Douglas County area is invited to participate in the PIE program. There are no dues or fees to become an active Partner in Education. The only thing needed is an interest in student achievement and the willingness to become involved in the program. Opportunities to participate in PIE are virtually unlimited.
