The Particles and Fields Group is part of the Physics Department at Centro Atómico Bariloche. Its permanent members are researchers from Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas and Comisión Nacional de Energía Atómica.  Most of them are also professors at Instituto Balseiro,  where they teach both basic and advanced courses. 

The group’s main focus is to understand the fundamental constituents of matter and their interactions, encompassing research in high-energy physics, astrophysics, cosmology, quantum field theory, string theory, and quantum information theory. Undergraduate and graduate students carry out their Master’s and PhD research projects within the group.
