Background

The video is one of the outcomes of the participatory video research project conducted with eight adults for 11 weeks between June and August in 2010 in Chicago. The participants were former participants of the video production courses that I offered to Odyssey Project graduates. This project aimed to find out various experiences among Odyssey Project students and suggest ways to help more students graduate from their Odyssey Project courses. The video, along with the research findings, was shown to former students, faculty, and administrators of the Odyssey Project and their families.

This project was the basis of my dissertation, Participatory Video and Reflexivity: The Experiences of Eight Adult Learners.
