My Marriage, My Blessing

My husband does not complete me. He compliments me, enhances me. I am more me when I am with him, but I’m fine on my own too. So is he.
We each value our independence, exploring, learning, growing as individuals. Yet we enjoy being together, providing compassion, support and lots of laughter.
First, I fell in love with his passion for the Holy Word. Only later did God reveal to me his beauty. First, I accepted Christ — then Buck accepted me.
I am married to my best friend. He’s strong, brilliant, handsome and reminds me with each gentle kiss that we are blessed beyond measure. Thank you, God.
From Lori:
"When I am not socially interactive, my depression can really really fall on me. I love art, I love opportunities to learn new ways of expressing myself and to polish up. So the opportunities that the Odyssey has provided for me--starting from the classes--that was wonderful. The college credits were terrific, but it was really the human relationships and the opportunities that I have gained out of the Odyssey. They have really helped to lift, yeah, just lift up my life."
