Biography

Parthajit Mohapatra received his B. E. degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from National Institute of Science and Technology (NIST), Berhampur, India in 2003 and the M. Tech. degree in Electronic System and Communication Engineering from National Institute of Technology (NIT), Rourkela, India in 2006. He obtained his Ph. D. degree in Electrical Communication Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India in 2015. The title of his thesis was Fundamental Limits of Communication in Interference Limited Environments.

He worked as an associate software engineer at eRevMax Private Ltd from June - October, 2006 and as a Lecturer in C. V. Raman College of Engineering, Bhubaneswar, India from January 2007 - December 2008. After his PhD, he worked as a  postdoctoral research fellow at iTrust Research Centre for Cyber Security at Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), Singapore. He worked  as an assistant professor at G. S. Sanyal School of Telecommunication at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur, India from 2016 to 2018. Currently, he is working as an Associate  Professor at department of electrical engineering, IIT Tirupati.

His research interests are primarily in the area of Machine-to-Machine (M2M) Communication, Physical Layer Secrecy, Union of Physical and Network Layer Techniques and Commnuication beyond 5G.
