The app provides a convenient way to check your knowledge and readiness for the EASA Part-66 exams. Constantly achieving 75% or more in these exams should indicate you are at a similar level to achieve a pass in the real exam.
As at February 2019, there are approximately 5,472 questions available for all the supplied modules.
There are free flashcard sets and an exam set available for some modules; however, they only provide a small fraction of the available bank. Purchasing the module will release all the flashcards and exam questions without time limit and will allow the random generation feature to be enabled so the user can produce unlimited random papers. As an example; Module 7 has 60 flashcards and 80 multi choice questions available for free. Unlocking the module bank will supply a total of 1,624 questions which are not duplicated and allow you to generate random sets for both the flashcards and the multi choice papers.
This depends on the module size, but most are around $10 and once purchased are free from time limit and use. This compares with some online sites charging a time limited subscription and up to $30 for less content and in some cases outdated questions which are not being updated to comply with the requirements of EASA Part-66 or FAA Part-65.
No. This may happen when all the modules are available for the B1.1 licence.
As the smallest modules require around 500 questions and the larger ones reaching thousands of questions, the time required to write, check, reference and modify the app code is substantial. I decided that it was better to provide a finished module rather than a half produced app with rushed questions and buggy software. I am working through the modules and will release full working modules as they are ready. Next module will be module 11 and it will consist of around 2,000 questions when released.
Next module to be released will be Module 11 around September 2019 with around 2,000 questions.
No. While there are questions available (just search for part-66 questions), Most are copies of old question banks dating back to the mid 1990s and early 2000s. If you see references to JAR, BCAR (for Module 10) or maxarets (for Module 11) then you're wasting your time. All the questions in the Part-66 app have been built with references to modern information available for free download or purchase as required. I have constantly updated the Module 10 questions with the latest regulations so they will be current for your licence exam and where the regulations change for other modules I will update these also.
While every effort has been made to produce questions of a high standard, inevitably there will be the odd question which may be incorrect. This is also the case for any question paper from officially supplied exams! Please contact me via the link regarding any questions with errors.
No. As stated above, whilst some questions may be similar, all questions are unique to Part-66 Engineer.
Yes. All the questions are set at an equivalent level as required under EASA Part-66.
Although the module structure is aligned with EASA Part-66, many questions are also fully aligned with the requirements of FAA Part-65. Remember that the FAA powerplant licence applies to gas turbines and piston engines; this would be EASA module 15 for gas turbines and module 16 for piston engines (16 is not yet available for in app purchase).
No. All the reading material can be found via my recommended reading section. Note: All the FAA handbooks are FREE from the links provided. Module 10 regulation links are free provided you become a member on the website for QCM. This material is kept up to date with the latest regulations. Module 15 & 17 links are books for purchase. I have no connection and gain no referral link to any of this material.
Approximately 80% of all flashcard questions have a reference to an external source. Questions marked as 'Author' have been written without an external link but are based on basic knowledge. Go to my recommended reading page for links to this information... https://sites.google.com/view/part66-engineer/recommended-reading
Some students had contacted me advising that certain questions were wrong and I had to reply to each email with a link to the information proving the question was correct. I decided to link most questions to a respectable source which is, where posiible, free.
