About Us

The Philippine Association of Researchers and Statistical Software Users, Inc. (PARSSU) is a professional association of educators, teachers/professors (from K-12 to graduate school), researchers, and users of statistical and psychometric software. It envisions to be a nationally recognized association committed to advancing the research profession and to promoting the production of quality researches among Filipino scholars through the applications of valid, reliable, and workable research methodologies including contemporary research designs and measurement and statistical models.

To be the leading organization in the Philippines, dedicated to promoting excellence in research and statistical software usage and contributing significantly to advancing knowledge and data-driven decision-making.

The Philippine Association of Researchers and Statistical Software Users, Inc. is committed to:

1. Promote Research Excellence: Foster a culture of excellence in research by providing resources, training, and support for researchers across various disciplines.

2. Enhance Statistical Software Competence: Improve members' proficiency in utilizing statistical software tools and techniques for robust data analysis and interpretation.

3. Facilitate Knowledge Sharing: Create a platform for researchers and statistical software users to share knowledge, experiences, and best practices in their respective fields.

GOALS

1. Education and Training: Offer workshops, seminars, and training sessions to enhance members' research and statistical software skills. 

2. Research Advancement: Facilitate conferences, symposiums, and research forums to disseminate innovative research findings and encourage interdisciplinary collaborations.

3. Membership Growth: Attract and retain a diverse and engaged membership base by providing valuable benefits and opportunities for professional development.

4. Policy Influence: Advocate for integrating research-based evidence in policy-making processes at the national and local levels.

5. Resource Development: Establish partnerships and secure funding to develop resources, tools, and databases that aid researchers and statistical software users.

OBJECTIVES

1. Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of research resources, statistical software tools, and relevant publications. 

2. Organize at least two research symposiums annually to showcase members' research contributions and promote networking.

3. Conduct training workshops annually for at least 200 members to enhance their statistical software proficiency. 

4. Collaborate with government agencies to support evidence-based decision-making annually in at least three policy initiatives.

5. Increase membership by 15% annually through targeted marketing efforts and member referrals.

6. Establish an ethical research review board to guide research ethics and compliance with relevant regulations.
