Hey there!
My name is Miguel Parra, and I am a PhD student at the University of Alcalá. I hold a Master’s degree in Applied Economic Analysis from the same university, where I was awarded the Best Academic Record, and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Cantabria.
I previously worked at the Bank of Spain and KSNET, and I am a member of EQUALITAS and the WEIPO research group.
My main research area focuses on the measurement of income and wealth dynamics, with particular emphasis on persistent poverty and its determinants. Additionally, I am interested in education economics, labour, and intergenerational mobility.
During my spare time, you’ll find me in the mountains—either cycling or hiking.
