Our Parkview PTSA's Mission:
Act as a facilitator for communication and provide a forum for discussion for families, teachers, school administrators, students and community.
Seek human and financial resources to support the enrichment of our children and the functioning of our school. How do we do that?
Fund the Director of Community Engagement position at the school, which in turn helps put on school events and supports staff in a variety of ways
Help fund school assistance like school supplies and Field Trips
Fund multiple Teacher/Staff Grants (see separate tab for specific lists per year)
Create/manage the school Yearbook with our Yearbook Committee Chair/student volunteers
Help fund Positive Behavior school program
Help fund General Specialist Supplies
Help fund Staff Appreciation
Help fund 8th Grade Graduation
Create and host the Fall and Spring Scholastic Book Fairs, which raises money and books for the Media Center
Maintain and create new enhancements for the School Forest, including the outdoor classroom
Fundraise via Direct Appeal
Create and Execute annual Family Fun Night Event & Silent Auction (fundraiser and family fun event)
Fund the Art Adventure program (MIA) for Grades 1-5
Host community events like the Annual Fall Ice Cream Social and free Family Movie Nights, and other community building events
Manage Lost and Found items and donate unclaimed items 2 x a year to local organizations
Support and speak on behalf of students in the schools and the community and before governmental bodies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children.
