I grew up in Seoul, South Korea and moved to the United States in 2016 to pursue my masters degree. Growing up, I learned from my dad that everyone can contribute to diverse society with his or her own talents. For example, as a dentist, my dad provided dental services to foreign workers who were in a blind spot of medical care. Similarly, I believe that conducting research with scholars all over the world and teaching students from a variety backgrounds will enable me to contribute to society with my own talents. In my spare time, I enjoy Pilates, meditation, and traveling. I have traveled to over 15 countries including Singapore, Japan, New Zealand, Switzerland, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, United Kingdom, Austria, Czech Republic, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, and etc. Above photos are taken from Hawaii.
