About

This website is currently under construction.

I am Yongzheng “Parker” Li, a Ph.D. Candidate in Political Science at the University of British Columbia, with expected degree completion in Summer 2026. My academic research focuses on public perceptions of Chinese economic activities, particularly in Africa.

Beyond my academic work, I have professional experience in policy consulting and data analysis across a wide range of policy areas, including Canadian municipal-level datasets, Canada’s Africa Strategy, and China’s Belt and Road Initiative. I also have teaching experience at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

In Summer 2026, I am teaching POLI 110 (Investigating Politics: An Introduction to Scientific Political Analysis), an introductory statistics course for political science students at UBC. The course is offered online and remotely. If you would like the syllabus or course materials, please feel free to contact me by email.

Please check back soon. In the meantime, you are welcome to contact me at parkeryz@mail.ubc.ca.
