Welcome to ParkDock ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have a safe and secure experience. This Privacy Policy explains how our application collects, uses, processes, and protects your information when you use the ParkDock mobile application ("App").
ParkDock is designed with a privacy-first, local-first architecture.
Zero Cloud Storage: All personal data created or managed within the App—including your saved parking locations, vehicle expense logs, mileage tracking, profile information, and digital document vault (e.g., Driving License, RC, Insurance)—is stored 100% locally on your device.
No External Servers: We do not operate external servers or cloud databases to collect, upload, store, or profile your personal data or location history.
While your data remains on your device, certain device permissions and features are required to provide the core functionalities of ParkDock:
Parking Saver & Vehicle Locator: ParkDock accesses your device's precise location (GPS) to record your vehicle's parked coordinates and calculate walking directions back to your car.
Emergency SOS Alerts: When you manually trigger an Emergency SOS alert, ParkDock accesses your current live GPS coordinates to construct an emergency SMS message containing your location. This message is sent directly via your device's native messaging capabilities to your pre-designated emergency contacts.
Data Handling: Your location data is processed locally on your device. We do not transmit, track, or share your location history to any remote server or third party.
Photos & Camera Access: Used locally to allow you to snap visual photos of your parking spot and store digital documents (Driving License, Vehicle RC, Insurance) in your local Digital Vault. In emergency situations, background media capture may occur locally as forensic evidence.
Audio Recording (Microphone): Used strictly for emergency evidence recording when an SOS panic alert is triggered by the user.
Storage Access: Required locally to save and retrieve photos, audio files, and documents directly on your device's internal storage.
Emergency Contacts: You may select up to three contacts from your address book to receive emergency alerts.
SMS Dispatch: When an SOS alert is activated, ParkDock uses your device's native SMS function to send your location and alert message directly to your chosen contacts. SMS charges from your cellular carrier may apply.
To support the ongoing development of ParkDock, the App integrates Google AdMob, a third-party advertising service provided by Google LLC.
While ParkDock does not collect or transmit your personal data, Google AdMob may automatically collect and process certain non-personally identifiable technical information to display advertisements. This may include:
Device identifiers (e.g., Advertising ID / GAID).
IP address and coarse network location.
App interaction data and performance metrics (e.g., crash logs, ad viewability).
Google uses this data to serve relevant ads, limit ad frequency, and detect fraud, in compliance with Google’s Privacy Policy.
You can reset your device’s Advertising ID or opt out of personalized advertising through your Android device settings:
Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization or Reset advertising ID.

Local Retention: Because all personal data, parking logs, vehicle expenses, and digital documents are saved exclusively on your local device storage, your data remains on your device for as long as you keep the App installed.
Data Erasure: You have full control over your data. Deleting the App or clearing the App's data/cache from your device settings will permanently erase all stored local profiles, logs, and saved documents.
Security: While local storage protects your data from external server breaches, we recommend securing your mobile device with a PIN, pattern, or biometric lock to prevent unauthorized physical access to your local files.
ParkDock is a utility application intended for licensed drivers and general vehicle owners. It is not directed toward children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in certain jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
