IMPORTANT NOTICE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN TO THE MEMBERS OF OUR CLUB THAT AN AMENDMENT TO THE BYLAWS IS PROPOSED BY ADDING THE FOLLOWING ARTICLE WHICH WOULD CONTROL THE DISTRIBUTION OF THE CLUB'S ASSETS IN THE EVENT OF THE CLUB'S DISSOLUTION. MEMBERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO REVIEW THE PROPOSED AMENDMENT AND TO ATTEND THE MEETING SCHEDULED FOR SUNDAY, OCTOBER 27, 2024, AT 2 P.M., AT THE CLUBHOUSE TO VOTE ON THE PROPOSAL.
ARTICLE 15 – DISSOLUTION
SECTION (1) – In the event of the dissolution of the club, whether voluntary or involuntary, no action can be taken at any meeting until all active members in good standing, including life members, are duly notified in writing of the proposed action at least five (5) days in advance of such scheduled meeting or, in the alternative, to be published in the local area newspaper at least one (1) day running.
SECTION (2) – Active members in good standing, including life members, attending the specified meeting date shall vote on the proposed action of dissolution and an approval vote of 97 percent will be required to proceed with the dissolution.
SECTION (3) - In the event of an approval vote for the dissolution of the club, all just debts and obligations of the club shall first be satisfied.
SECTION (4) - After the satisfaction of all just debts and obligations of the club, the remaining assets of the club, both real and personal, shall be sold and the net proceeds, after expenses of the sales, shall be equally distributed to all active members in good standing, including life members, who are considered “vested” in the club.
SECTION (5) – In order to be considered ‘vested” in the club, the member must be an active member in good standing who has been a member of the club for no less than seven (7) years
