Lost Pets: (info from Animal Shelter site)
Compose an accurate description of your missing companion animal. Be specific about your companion animal's breed, size, weight, sex, collar, tags, and any distinguishing characteristics. Please provide a recent photo of your companion animal.
Fill out a Lost Pet Report or call Bloomington Animal Care and Control at 812-349-3492.
Use social media: Facebook’s Bloomington Indiana Lost and Found Pets Page, Next Door, etc.
Post flyers picturing and describing your lost companion and your contact information at bus stops, schools, veterinary clinics, laundromats, and stores.
Reach out to your neighbors. Let them know your animal is missing and ask permission to inspect their property. Email hello@parkridgeneighborhood.org to request a lost pet notice be posted. Please include description, area where lost, and photos if possible.
Visit the Shelter regularly. Take a chance on anything remotely similar to your lost animal and visit the shelter often! Remember that within day’s dirt, rain, and irregular grooming can quickly change the appearance of your beloved pet.
Alert the postal carrier, newspaper carriers, and your neighbors of your missing companion animal.
Check with neighborhood children. They often will know your companion animal and may have seen her.
Consider your animal’s personality – fearful animals will hide, gregarious animals will enter homes and cars to be with people.
Check with your immediate neighbors and block captain
