A Day in my Life - Nutrition Illiteracy
I have been advertising my health consultation programs on Facebook and Instagram for a couple of weeks each day it generates more than 100 inquiries, 99 % people ask me what is the medicine, and what is the product. I share them my premade video where I explain all the products to them even though they question what is the medicine I am offering, I explain to them, '' like a doctor writes down a prescription after diagnosing them, I write diet for them which may help them to reverse their medical condition or treat obesity.
Big Companies & their Marketing experts, and food Scientists are lying about their products & try to make people addicted of their products for higher sales. they are taking advantage of our low food knowledge and selling us products, which claim to support but don't cure obesity.
Yesterday a 19-year girl called me & stated she is suffering from type 2 Diabetes, PCOD, Joint Pain, and Obesity. She stated she wants to prepare for the UPSC examination next year so she wants to reduce her weight. I explained her not to panic about weight loss rather she should focus on providing good nutrition to reverse the above-mentioned health conditions. my heart sank watching a teenage girl suffering, I wanted to help her. She asked me She couldn't afford the consultation & her parents wouldn't agree to take a Nutrition plan from a nutritionist. I have given free consultations and worked with people without charging a penny, people who at least even pay some money take ownership & dedicatedly follow but those who get free consultations don't show up. I asked her for a 1/3rd consultation fee, and she said she would let me know.
I feel helpless watching people suffer. I am writing a book on Food & how it affects our health, my goal is not just to get it published but to make it reach people. Health we are searching in medicines which may have side effects. the combination of many medicines makes our health even worse is easy to manage & is inexpensive. nowadays even Inexpensive is looked at as undesirable which I learnt from the classic example of Tata Nano. what keeps me going is this verse from Bhagwat Geeta -" Chapter 3: Karma-yoga
TEXT 8
niyatam kuru karma tvam
karma jyayo hy akarmanah
sarira-yatrapi ca te
na prasiddhyed akarmanah
