Stellar Dendrite Snowflake
This was taken during the snow on January 12 this year. It is on a piece of glass suspended over an LED flashlight on our porch in Buchanan, TN. Keeping the glass cold is essential, but even then you don't have much time before the snowflake melts.
Settings: Nikon D610 with 105mm Sigma macro lens with a total of 68mm of extension rings added F/8 for 1/100 second at ISO 100

Icy Reflection

Frozen Bubble
Buchanan, TN. In front of our house on top of about 8 inches of snow. Getting the bubble to form ice crystals around the top as well as the bottom is not easy. You need a particular formula for the bubble solution and it helps to give the bubble a chance to freeze before dropping it on the snow. Temperature needs to be about 8 degrees or less - below 0 is preferable!
Settings: Nikon D610 with 24-125mm zoom lens set at 27mm F/22 for 1/20 second ISO 400

Frozen Wonder
Buchanan, TN. This was on a very steep slope and I had to position the camera by working around the bases of two trees - the only position I could get in to get the sky in the background. I used a rice bag instead of a tripod to steady the camera.
