Our Commitment

Orthodox Parish Directory is committed to the safety and protection of all users, with particular emphasis on the protection of children. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) content or behavior on our platform.

Target Audience

Orthodox Parish Directory is designed exclusively for adult members (18 years and older) of registered parishes under The Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church. The app is not designed for, marketed to, or intended for use by children under 18.

Safety Measures

Access Control

• Registration Approval: All users must be approved by a parish administrator before gaining access to the app. No anonymous or unapproved access is permitted.

• Role-Based Permissions: Access to app features and data is controlled through role-based permissions managed by parish administrators.

• Account Verification: Users must authenticate using verified email/password or Google Sign-In.

Content Moderation

• Administrator Oversight: Parish administrators have full oversight of all user accounts and content within their parish directory.

• Profile Photo Review: Profile photos uploaded by members are visible to parish administrators who can review and remove inappropriate content.

• No Public Content Sharing: The app does not support public posting, messaging between users, or any form of user-generated public content. It functions solely within the parish community as a member directory.

Data Protection

• Minimal Data Collection: We collect only the information necessary for the parish directory (name, contact details, family information).

• No Data Sharing: Personal information is never shared with third parties.

• Encrypted Communication: All data transmitted between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit.

Reporting CSAE Content or Behavior

If you encounter any content or behavior related to child sexual abuse or exploitation, please take the following steps:

1. Report to Us

• Subject Line: Use "CSAE Report" in the subject line for immediate attention

• We will review and act on all reports within 24 hours

2. Report to Authorities

In addition to reporting to us, we strongly encourage reporting to the appropriate authorities:

• India: Report to the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) at https://ncpcr.gov.in or call Childline at 1098

• International: Contact your local law enforcement or child protection agency

3. Report to Google Play

You can also report concerns directly to Google Play through the app's store listing.

Our Response Protocol

Upon receiving a report of CSAE content or behavior:

1. Immediate Review: We review the report within 24 hours

2. Account Suspension: Suspected accounts are immediately suspended pending investigation

3. Content Removal: Any offending content is removed immediately

4. Authority Notification: We report confirmed cases to relevant national and regional authorities as required by law

5. Cooperation: We fully cooperate with law enforcement investigations

• We comply with all applicable child safety laws and regulations

• We report to regional and national authorities as required by law

• We maintain records of reports and actions taken

• We regularly review and update our safety standards
