Feel free to use anything you need in the flat, you will find coffee, teas etc..
Netflix is available on TV.
Emergency number 112.
Warning : Never close the door without the key on you, you will not be able to reenter the flat.
Transportation:
Getting to the apartment from the airport:
From Charles de Gaulle/Roissy: On the airport you take the RER B to Denfert-Rochereau, then line 6 toward Nation, exit Dugommier and we're some 300m from the metro station up the street.
From Orly: Orly bus to Denfert-Rochereau, then line 6 toward nation, exit Dugommier and we're some 300m from the metro station up the street.
Metro:
You have 2 main metro stations 2min walking distance from the flat:
Metro stop DUGOMMIER – line 6 (down the street)
Metro stop DAUMESNIL – line 6 & 8. (up the street)
From those 2 lines you can reach all other lines, there are line 14 & 1 that are crossing all Paris that you can reach by foot 10min walk or by metro line 6 or 8. You can take 14 at BERCY station and 1 at REUILLY DIDEROT station. You can download Paris metro map on RATP website.
Card: It works like the oyster card in London, you buy an EASY NAVIGO for 2€ each card, you must ask at the counter desk at the metro station. You put how many tickets as you want, I advise to take 10 tickets (cheaper than 1 by 1). You can recharge your card directly at any machine or via the application RATP Bonjour.
Bike (Velib):
Paris was one of the first city to offer bikes on rent, so you really have a lot of stations. You have 2 download VELIB Metropole app, from there you can create your account, they might ask 300e deposit but no worry they are not taking them. Once you create your account you will receive codes, then you can take bikes directly at the station with those codes.
Paris became in last 10 years bike friendly, you have big street portion dedicated for bikes.
On demand rides:
Uber: Available, download the app
G7 is the Taxi service that can also be used via the app: https://www.g7.fr/en/
Food / Drinks :
Supermarkets around us:
up the street AUCHAN and
down the street MONOPRIX.
Bakeries, the neighbourhood is full of them, we advise:
Ernest & Valentin (225 rue de Charenton), 2 min from flat.
the one down the street in front of DUGOMMIER metro station.
Average price for a baguette (or a traditional – specific type of baguette) is 1,2€ and Croissant or Pain au Chocolat 1,5€. So quite a good bargain in France for homemade product.
Street food markets are on Friday and Tuesday in our street, on Sunday at Michel BIZOT metro station (10min walk). You can buy ready to go food.
One that I highly recommend is LE MARCHE DES ENFANTS ROUGES – Metro Arts et Métiers (line 3 & 11), go there empty stomach.

Lucky you bottle of wine is not so expensive in France, average 25€ in a restaurant 6€ in supermarket and you will find a lot of happy hours so pint for 5€.
Overall you will eat nicely in Paris, every bistro is serving food (usually between 12 – 14 and 18 – 22), Avoid restaurants around Eiffel tower or Champs Elysée, costly and French don’t go there.
Brasseries : Paris is famous for them, google them and we can give you some tips.
We can give you more tips and addresses with good bargains based on your wishes.
Sport / run :
10min walk you have VINCENNES Forest, it is very big, nice for a run, bike, picnic.
Behind the flat (5min) you can reach the “coulee verte” former railway transformed in green garden, very nice for running in Paris.
