Privacy Policy — ParentPay
Your privacy comes first
No account. No sign-in. No personal information is collected by ParentPay from you as an app user.
Balances, payment lists, children profiles, transaction history views, and app preferences you manage are stored locally on your device. This page explains exactly what the app does and does not do with your data, including how Google AdMob advertising works in the app.
1. Our Commitment to Privacy
ParentPay is built to help you browse school-related charges, manage children’s payment activities, review transaction history, receive payment reminders, and track balances from one simple dashboard — with a smooth experience. We designed this app so you can use these features without creating an account, without signing in, and without sharing your personal contact details with us. Protecting your privacy is a core principle of this product.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit any of the following from you as an app user:
• Your name
• Your phone number
• Your email address
• Your home or mailing address
• Your date of birth
• Government identifiers (SSN, ID numbers, etc.)
• Photos, contacts, or camera data
• Precise GPS location
• Payment card numbers, banking credentials, or checkout identity data
No sign-up, login, OTP verification, email verification, social login, or registration is ever required to use the app. ParentPay never stores raw card information locally.
3. Information Stored On Your Device
To support your experience, ParentPay stores the following locally on your device only:
• App settings (such as dark/light/system theme preference, onboarding completion, and biometric toggle preference)
• Optional local cache of transaction display data for offline-friendly viewing
Sample school payment content, children profiles, balances, and transaction listings shown in the app are packaged with the app or loaded as display/demo content. Preferences and local cache are not uploaded to our servers and are not linked to your identity as an app user. Data you manage in the app remains on your device — we do not receive it as personal user profile data.
4. Local, On-Device Processing
ParentPay is designed for local processing. Core features — including the home dashboard, children list, student details, payments centre, checkout flow, payment success screens, transaction history, notifications, and profile settings — run on your device using locally managed state and preferences.
Your preferences and local cache are not sent to our servers for storage or processing. You can browse the sample school payment experience without signing in.
An internet connection is needed for displaying advertisements through Google AdMob (see Section 6), and if you choose to open external links such as support email or help resources.
5. Data Display and Sharing
All balances, payment items, children details, transaction history, and preference screens displayed in the app are read from on-device content and local app state. If you share screenshots or information through your device’s standard share options, that sharing is handled by your device and the app you choose — we do not receive copies of shared content unless you explicitly send it to us (for example, by email).
You are responsible for keeping any exported or shared information secure.
6. Advertising
ParentPay displays advertisements through Google AdMob to help keep the app free to use. Ad formats may include banner ads and full-screen interstitial ads shown when you navigate between sections.
Google and its advertising partners may collect and use information such as your device’s advertising ID, approximate location (derived from IP address), app interactions with ads, and technical device data to deliver, measure, and improve ads. This data is handled according to Google’s policies, not stored by us as a personal user profile.
You can limit ad personalization on your device through:
Android Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization
For more information, see Google’s Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
7. Third-Party Services
Core app features run on your device. The app does not send your preferences, local transaction cache, or in-app payment browsing activity to external conversion or cloud account services.
Google AdMob is used to serve advertisements. When you use optional actions such as sending email to support or opening a web link, those actions are handled by the respective platform or app you choose — not by ParentPay collecting additional personal data from you.
8. Cookies and Tracking
The app itself does not use browser cookies. We do not operate our own analytics or cross-app tracking services within ParentPay.
Advertising partners (such as Google AdMob) may use identifiers permitted by your device and Android settings to measure ad performance. We do not build personal profiles about you based on your in-app payment browsing activity beyond what is required for ad delivery through AdMob.
9. Network and Permissions
The app requests only the permissions it needs to function:
• Internet access — required for displaying advertisements through Google AdMob
• Network state — used to check connectivity for ad loading
• Advertising ID — used by Google AdMob for ad delivery and measurement on supported devices
We do not request access to contacts, camera, calendar, SMS, microphone, or precise location. There is no sign-in or account permission prompt when you open the app.
Your locally stored preferences and cache remain on your device during normal app use.
10. Data Security
Because we do not collect personal information or account credentials from you as an app user, there is no personal login profile that can be compromised on our servers. Your preferences and local cache remain on your device unless you explicitly share content outside the app.
Checkout in this version selects a payment method for demonstration only and does not capture or store card numbers. You can clear all locally stored app data at any time through your device settings.
11. Children’s Privacy
This app is intended as a school payment and student expense management utility for parents and guardians. It is designed so that personal information is not required from children or adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
Student names, school names, balances, and payment amounts shown in the sample experience are for demonstration and information within the app experience.
12. Your Choices and Rights
Because we do not collect identifying information about you as an app user, there is no personal account or profile to delete on our side. You can fully reset your app data at any time by uninstalling the app or clearing app storage:
Settings → Apps → ParentPay → Storage → Clear storage
Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored preferences and cached display data from the app’s private storage area.
13. School Payments Experience Disclaimer
ParentPay provides a sample school payment and student expense management experience. Student names, school details, balances, payment amounts, due dates, and transaction history shown in the app may be fictional placeholders for demonstration. The app does not process real school payments or complete live checkout with real banks or card networks unless a future version clearly states otherwise.
ParentPay is an independent application experience and is not affiliated with any specific school, local authority, or payment provider brand. Always verify real-world charges, balances, and school payment information independently with your school.
14. Changes to This Policy
If this policy is updated, the revised version will be available within the app on this screen. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
