Waterloo Region District School Board
Trustee Candidate Survey

School board trustees are elected representatives who help make decisions about public education in our community. They help set board policies and priorities, make budget decisions, oversee the Director of Education, and advocate for students and families.
Trustees make decisions for the school system as a whole rather than managing individual schools or making everyday classroom decisions.
Trustees help shape the direction of public education, including the priorities, policies and resources that affect students and families. Learning about the candidates can help you decide who you want representing your community.
