Pack 245 Cub Scouts provides kids from kindergarten to 5th grade the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, participate in community service, and instill valued characteristics of a responsilbe youth. Children learn everything from hiking to fishing to woodwork while becoming a stong part of our community. Pack 245 is open to all children no matter their gender, abilities, race/ethnicity, religion or other characteristics.
Through the program, scouts are taught a variety of life skills that range from cooking, fire-building, first aid, and social skills. These help build a scout to be able to fullfil the Scout Law.
Scout meetings and activities are filled with programs that are designed to teach scouts an awareness and appreciation of their world so that they may become good stewards of their communities.
Through building, sewing and other projects, scouts learn confidence, life skills and independence that helps them to better fullfil the tenets of the Scout Law.
